Privacy
HashDocket is designed so that the file you fingerprint does not need to be uploaded to our servers. SHA-256 hashing is performed in your browser.
What we store
When you publish a paid proof, we store the SHA-256 fingerprint, an optional label you provide, the Bitcoin transaction ID, the amount detected for that transaction, and the registration timestamp.
Public information
A published fingerprint record is intended to be publicly verifiable. Do not put confidential personal information in the optional label.
What we do not need
HashDocket does not require the original document, a customer account, a password, or a private Bitcoin key to create a registry record.
Network metadata
The hosting platform and ordinary internet infrastructure may process technical request metadata such as IP address, browser information, and timestamps for security and operations.
